VMWARE casi casi...

Hola,
Después de varios días intentando instalar el vMware-Server, parece que casi lo tengo.
Pero, al configurar el vMware no soy capaz de configurar lo del final. Me sale esto:
* Starting VMware services: [ ok ]
* Virtual machine monitor [ !! ]
* Virtual ethernet [ !! ]
* Bridged networking on /dev/vmnet0 [ !! ]
* Host-only networking on /dev/vmnet1 (background) [ ok ]
* Bridged networking on /dev/vmnet2 [ !! ]
* Host-only networking on /dev/vmnet3 (background) [ ok ]
* NAT service on /dev/vmnet3 [ !! ]
* Host-only networking on /dev/vmnet8 (background) [ ok ]
* NAT service on /dev/vmnet8 [ !! ]

Alguna ayuda, por favor???

Ya llevo un montón de intentos para pasarme a Linux, y me he propuesto que esta va a ser la definitiva....

PERO TRATARÁ DE DIFUNDIR TU MENSAJE A LO LARGO DEL FORO O BUSKARÉ UN POKO DE INFORMACIÓN AL RESPEKTO Y LO INTENTARÉ INSTALAR YO......... Y SI PRONTO TIENES LA SOLUCIÓN PUES ESPERO KE ME PASES EL TIP, OK HERMANO...... SUERTE...

Cuando intento ejecutar el vMware me dice:

localhost-2 sfreire # /etc/init.d/vmware start
* Vmware Server is installed, but it has not been (correctly) configured
* for the running kernel.
* Please ensure that the modules have been compiled for this kernel:
* emerge --oneshot vmware-modules
* Also ensure Vmware Server has been configured:
* /opt/vmware/server/bin/vmware-config.pl
* VMware is not properly configured! See above. [ !! ]

Así que ejecuté:
emerge --oneshot vmware-modules
y he visto una cosa curiosa que creo que es donde está el quid de la cuestión:

* Updating module dependencies for 2.6.19-gentoo-r4 ...
*
* /lib/modules/2.6.19-gentoo-r4/build/System.map not found.
* You must manually update the kernel module dependencies using depmod. [ !! ]
*

Como hago para actualizar manualmente las kernel module dependencies???
Buff... miedo me da.

Pues nada. Comentar solamente que el problema estaba en la versión de vmware que intentaba instalar. Me he bajado la versión 5.5.3 y todo como la seda.
