Yesterday my KDE where upgraded to 4.9.2 but a lot of locale packages where upgraded too.

I only want Swedish so where can I put in that I only want Swedish?

I use equo update && equo upgrade

See an example of what to do in the post Re: en_GB language missing after install. but of course changing "en_GB" to "sv_SE". In the file /etc/conf.d/keymaps you need to have:

Code: Select all
keymap=se-lat6

(Check the keymaps in /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/ to make sure se-lat6.map.gz is present. If it isn't, select another Swedish keymap.)

and in the file /etc/conf.d/consolefont you need to have:

Code: Select all
consolefont="lat0-16"

I dont mean the locale for the system, I meant the locale package that where installed with KDE, poland US German and all other language package that you can had KDE in your own language. I had Gentoo for 8 years and then you put your language in /etc/make.conf but I don't use portage, I don´t want source so I use equo to install binaries instead, so where do I put in my language so only my swedish package will be installed and not twenty other language binaries?

You mean you want to only have installed and updated the package kde-base/kde-l10n-sv and stop the installation and update of the packages listed below?

Code: Select all
kde-base/kde-l10n-bg
kde-base/kde-l10n-ca
kde-base/kde-l10n-cs
kde-base/kde-l10n-da
kde-base/kde-l10n-de
kde-base/kde-l10n-el
kde-base/kde-l10n-en_GB
kde-base/kde-l10n-es
kde-base/kde-l10n-et
kde-base/kde-l10n-fi
kde-base/kde-l10n-fr
kde-base/kde-l10n-ga
kde-base/kde-l10n-gl
kde-base/kde-l10n-hu
kde-base/kde-l10n-it
kde-base/kde-l10n-ja
kde-base/kde-l10n-kk
kde-base/kde-l10n-km
kde-base/kde-l10n-ko
kde-base/kde-l10n-lv
kde-base/kde-l10n-nb
kde-base/kde-l10n-nds
kde-base/kde-l10n-nl
kde-base/kde-l10n-nn
kde-base/kde-l10n-pa
kde-base/kde-l10n-pl
kde-base/kde-l10n-pt
kde-base/kde-l10n-pt_BR
kde-base/kde-l10n-ru
kde-base/kde-l10n-sl
kde-base/kde-l10n-tr
kde-base/kde-l10n-uk
kde-base/kde-l10n-wa
kde-base/kde-l10n-zh_CN
kde-base/kde-l10n-zh_TW

I imagine simply uninstalling them would stop them being pulled in when you next perform an upgrade:

Code: Select all
equo remove kde-l10n-bg kde-l10n-ca kde-l10n-cs kde-l10n-da kde-l10n-de kde-l10n-el kde-l10n-en_GB kde-l10n-es kde-l10n-et kde-l10n-fi kde-l10n-fr kde-l10n-ga kde-l10n-gl kde-l10n-hu kde-l10n-it kde-l10n-ja kde-l10n-kk kde-l10n-km kde-l10n-ko kde-l10n-lv kde-l10n-nb kde-l10n-nds kde-l10n-nl kde-l10n-nn kde-l10n-pa kde-l10n-pl kde-l10n-pt kde-l10n-pt_BR kde-l10n-ru kde-l10n-sl kde-l10n-tr kde-l10n-uk kde-l10n-wa kde-l10n-zh_CN kde-l10n-zh_TW

but if you want to mask them as well to be doubly sure, edit the file /etc/entropy/packages/package.mask and add the list of packages you want to stop being installed.
