hi all.

today i went to update my system and found that there were no updates, thinking this was odd i looked in to it a bit more and found i was getting this message when i ran "equo update"

Code: Select all

thinking it might have been an issue with my repo listings i fellowed this post
viewtopic.php?f=76&t=26071 and found that i had no repos at all listed in my /etc/entpoy/repositories.conf.
here is the file AFTER i had added the suggested repos ( ill make the a line of #'s to show what was added)

and "equo repo mirrorsort sabayon-weekly" just prints out
>> @@ Mirror speed: pkg.sabayon.org, 0.0b/sec
for every mirror.

any ideas for how to get my entropy back up and running?

Hi

I think your dhcpcd service isn't running

Code: Select all
# /etc/init.d/dhcpcd start

Try again to sync mirrors

Hi, now I have a new stupid question. How could he post here (supposedly from the same distro) if he was not connected ? (I also suppose dhcpcd job is to create the connection... ) :)

Ok, then I have a suggest : what about configuring a fixed ip for the machine ? These configs are often more reliable.

Else: are these connections wired or wireless ? If wireless maybe fine tuning the country for the connection... too bad I don't know very well what tools are used in Sabayon for this purpose ?
