Removing Skrooge [Solved]

Postby cl00t » Fri Feb 10, 2012 22:17

Hello,

Having tried Skrooge I am sticking with Gnucash ... so I want to fully remove Skrooge.
How to fully remove an app & all config files?

Will this do it (without pretend obviously):

Code: Select all
# equo remove skrooge --ask --deep --pretend
>>  @@ These are the chosen packages:
>>    # (1/1) [sabayon-weekly] app-office/skrooge-1.2.0 [18.6MB]
>>  @@ Packages involved: 1
>>  @@ These are the packages that would be removed:
>>  ## [sabayon-weekly] app-office/skrooge-1.2.0 [18.6MB]
>>  @@ Packages needing to be removed: 1
>>  @@ Freed disk space: 18.6MB
>>  @@ Total bandwidth wasted: 9.7MB

Anything else I ought to do please?

Thanks

Applications often have a hidden directory in your home directory, so check if there is e.g. a ~/.skrooge directory. Also, if it's a KDE application, check if there is anything left in ls ~/.kde/share/apps/ relating to skrooge.

The locate utility is a great way to find stuff. You need to install the mlocate package and run the updatedb command to populate its index file. Periodically run the updatedb command to refresh it. It is also automatically added to a crontab.

Code: Select all
# equo install mlocate
# updatedb
# locate skrooge
