problem after update with nvidia

Ok so I installed sabayon 7 my laptop uses Nvidia GeForce 8200M and everything is perfect then it says i need to update so I do, it won't let me continue the update with agreeing to install the nvidia drivers now my system on reboot is in fallback gnome...how do I revert back? do I just reinstall and don't ever update? please help

ok using kernel-switcher and switching to the linux-sabayon-3.0-r12 got it all working again...kernel switching should be done by the package manager on update right?
