GDM doesn't start afert X11 driver updated [Solved]

I have a freash install of Sabayon 6 Gnome and magneto proposed me to update X11 Nvidia drivers. After doing so at the next reboot I receive an error message from xorg that are some modules that can't be loaded (dri,..) and GDM doesn't start.
How can I get it fixed?

Hello, what has worked for others, is to switch to the older 173 drivers.

equo install x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-173.14.30#2.6.39-sabayon

You will need to adjust the kernel version to your kernel, the above command will install the .39 kernel drivers, adjust to what kernel you are running.

Can you post the model of nvidia card you are using?
This may help track down the issue.

doesn't work process stop with an error message like 'zero dived zero'

I confirm the error comes from the update to kernel linux-sabayon-2.6.39-r6 which also include the update to the latest Nvidia driver. I though to sort it via a package mask. I add the following line to /etc/portage/package.mask

Anyway magneto include this update in the list.

Found the reason:

Open /etc/X11/xorg.conf and locate:

Option "UseEvents" "True"

remove that line completely.

I confirm that removing from xorg.conf
