Patience is a virgin
Remember this is not a spoon feed distro or forums so you would find something we mention that is either the solution or will lead you in a direction to get a solution that is what linux is about.
I found this only by trail and error after 8 installs and about 73 things I tried as alternatives, but hey I am blond so who would have guessed it took me so long LOL.
Okay if you read the link I posted you would see that the short cut I did not try that I posted has a original idea / working version. My shortcut has sound idea but lacks testing.
From link above's post.Actual what happened:- Code: Select all

tweaked ~ # [/quote]
Then I ran the regenerate option in spritz or equo as you please as it is needed and then config update and normal equo update.
Bam you have this solved and it gets the latest version of equo and you can update and use equo as normal.
If you copy above then you will have to remove the tweaked and # so only copy the rsync as in example below:
- Code: Select all
rsync -rPmHz rsync://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/sabayonlinux/entropy/standard/sabayonlinux.org/database/x86/4/ /var/lib/entropy/client/database/x86/sabayonlinux.org/standard/x86/4
The ports 1026 and 1027 used by equo to sync is getting blocked by ISP's "internet service providers"
So just because me and you both have retarded ISP's with idiots working at them spreading worms with their anti worms firewall software we have issues updating equo.
Remember everytime you install SL on that ISP you would need to rsync like this, yes me too 12 times so far in the last 6 weeks and I was too stupid to backup a copy of this files.
