I'm new here.
I downloaded Sabayon 4 (LiteMCE) and try it from a "live mode". I want to try Spritz/Equo, but I have problems with my proxy server.
The computer is behind HTTP (connection) proxy that requires (plaintext) autentification, and I can't make equo nor spritz to work with the proxy. Exporting http_proxy (https_proxy, ftp_proxy, ...) environment variables from BASH before running equo don't solve the problem.
Also, configuring Spritz from it's GUI to use the proxy results with no connection. In both cases I finished up with a message that says something like "You're not connected to the internet. You should."
Now, is there a way to make the programs to use my proxy?
btw: The proxy allows access to public servers at ports 80 and 443. Does Sabayon repo servers listen to this ports? If not, is there any mirror that do so?
btw2: Is it safe to use portage ant equo on the same system? I don't want to finish up with a broken system once I install Sabayon
Sty for my poor english, and tnx for answering.
