Spritz window problems

I am having a few problems with this version which is 0.23.8. Some times I just get the blue bar at the top of the window and then just the outline. I do not see any thing else. Some times I get an hour glass even when left on over night such as when I got a list of all the packages so I could install other items then just the updates. I do not know enough about this to know what is going on. Before this I used Mandriva and also Debian. I forgot to mention that some times when this happens with it just showing the outline I can only click on the red x and then it asks me if I want to terminate. The last time this happened it showed that the one update was 50% installed but it never got past this point.

Just to get into more detail it installs the program just fine but when it goes to the cleaning phase this is when it hits 50% and just stays there. It never does complete and thus I need to quit the application the wrong way to get it to stop. I have left it this way for over 8 hours and it does nothing.
