For people that prefer mainly use Entropy , and not mix Entropy with Portage...
$ su and password
# emerge --sync only one time
# equo install entropy equo spritz
# # equo update && equo world
# equo update
# equo conf update
With this, you may avoid the problem of entropy downgraded packages considered "updates"
