Spritz is Slow

Postby brokenkingpin » Mon Aug 18, 2008 5:24

I just did an update with Spritz for 197 packages and it took many hours, is this normal? It seemed like most of the time was on installing the packages, not downloading them (I have fast internet). I don’t know much about how the packaging works on Sabayon so I just wanted to make sure this was normal. Thanks.

No one can tell me how fast their updates run in Spritz? Is Spritz a binary or source based package manager? If it is source based that might explain why it is slow.

Spritz is reported to be slow and even fail at times, try using the equo the commandline version of it instead.
