I just installed the latest Sabayon 3.5 - after a lot of time (I still don't see how copying/installing everything then removing not wanted packages makes sense) it booted and the new package manager notifications started popping up. So it's nice - it's the new kid Entropy - reminds me of one time I took Ubuntu for a spin (and removed it right away) and it's package manager that didn't work
OK - let's see - I need Synergy - but Entropy repositories don't have it [Or I cant find it] - so let see if good old emerge is still there I think. Might be good idea to first sync it. So I do emerge --sync, and It seems like I don't have portage tree at all ?!? It takes too much time - and since nothing is deleted at the end I'm 99.99% sure that it was empty.
So what is the deal with Entropy vs Portage? If I install something via Entropy or Portage - will it be shown it the other one? I can't find anything mentioning how to work with both of them.
