@ sjieke:
You can do a comparison with me and see if it's your entropy or entropy itself. Install openoffice two consecutive times and try to see the times for some steps (first install probably will take more time; second, third, ... should take the same). I have a dual core (2,4 Ghz each) but I think entropy can't handle more than one core so results should be similar. These are my results (equo v0.15.23.5):
- first time, without doing anything with entropy since system start.
equo install app-office/openoffice --force
0:00
0:08 Unpacking package
0:39 Ebuild: pkg_preinst()
1:12 Installing package
1:16 Updating db
2:20 Ebuild: pkg_postinst()
2:30
- second time
equo install app-office/openoffice --force
0:00
0:03 Unpacking package
0:26 Ebuild: pkg_preinst()
0:51 Installing package
0:54 Updating db
1:01 Ebuild: pkg_postinst()
1:06
- removing (note that it also removed a l10n)
0:00
0:10 Ebuild: pkg_prerm() (app-office/openoffice-l10n-es)
0:13 Removing from Entropy
0:34 Ebuild: pkg_prerm() (app-office/openoffice)
0:42 Removing from Entropy
0:59 Protecting config file
