Which mirror has the x86_64 edition of 4.0 Revision 1 (Sabayon-Linux-x86_64-4-r1.iso)? I can see the x86 edition of 4.0 Revision 1 (Sabayon-Linux-x86-4-r1.iso) on some of the FTP mirrors, but not the x86_64 edition.

sorry about that guys, 64 bit will be added to the mirrors

if you have the 4 iso, you can grab the xdeltas and patch it to current, otherwise give mirrors time to sync

Thanks, wolfden.

Using BitTorrent is not always practical, Tvin, if you're a laptop user on the move frequently.

Ibiblio.org is ready for download :D

Code: Select all
# mkdir /home/upload

Code: Select all
    #  rsync -PmHt rsync://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/sabayonlinux/Sabayon-Linux-x86_64-4-r1.iso /home/upload

Code: Select all
    #  rsync -PmHt rsync://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/sabayonlinux/Sabayon-Linux-x86-4-r1.iso /home/upload

Received a 30gb Red OCZ SSD as gift to use with SL, imagine that yeah baby. and it works in my laptop drooollliiinnnngggg.

Cheat:
You can cheat by using rsync same as torrent to complete / update 4.0 to r1 by placing 4.0 iso into /home/upload and running above examples.
Rsync has xdelta / md5 type update part build in and so the 80% of the iso that is same supposedly downloads at 12MB/s while the missing parts / 20% download at normal 152KB/s to 384KB/s download speeds. Then to check if correct start torrent and stop torrent + replace torrent and start torrent with this updated file and it will verify or complete if not 100% .

hmmm ... will use this solution, rsync way to upgrade my already downloaded iso's of sabayon linux v4.0, x86 and x86_64 ... torrent speeds was so good that i managed to finish to download both initial iso's before r1 revision to hit distrowatch - sabayon 4 .... guys ... don't forget to update that announce, is still only v4.0!

here is very useful my previous suggestion ... what wrong can happen if we keep that announce the same, i mean sabayon 4 not sabayon 4r1 but replace actual url's to point to revision r1 for both iso's, md5sum's and torrent links!? peoples who managed to download the old iso and can use it need to upgrade to r1, some like me maybe not need this because for me is working even initial v4, and new user will use correct url from beginning ...

Then you can wait long, no POD will be released but a light DVD version is in the works.
Actually beta team is testing it as we speak.
