need a c++ compiler

need a c++ compiler similar to Dev-C++? and how to install it since ive been trying to install kdevelop and anjuta but doesnt work. :cry:

Dev-C++ isnt a compiler its an ide, its also an ide that sucks.

Anyway, for a compiler you can use gcc which is already installed.

for an IDE i recomend Anjuta or Code::Blocks(from svn)
If you want Anjunta i suggest unmasking (if it isnt already) version 2.0.* and if your getting errors post them so they can be fixed.

Its already installed. for info on how to use it type: man gcc

both Anjuta and codeblocks use gcc for compiling as well as other compilers.
