tuareg-mode not working under emacs

hi everyone.
has anyone installed tuareg-mode and got it working under emacs?
usually i just have to open emacs with a file of .ml extension to trigger the tuareg mode, but emacs won't have that mode on Sabayon.

i installed tuareg with emerge and don't nderstand why it's not working.
help would be much appreciated.

damn... i just realized that it wasn't installed, thought i had emerged...
