(Solved) 3GP videos in KMPlayer...

Postby faraaz » Fri Jun 29, 2007 17:29

Hi, I've got a few 3GP videos I want to be able to play on my computer in KMPlayer, or any other video for that matter...but the thing is I don't have internet on my machine which runs Sabayon.

Also, I've got 3.3 DVD edition...so instructions on how to go about downloading and installing the codec for the same from a Windows machine and installing on the linux box would be appreciated. Or is 3GP video supported in Linux and its just a weird problem in my computer?

Have you tried without using Beryl / Compiz and AIGLX / XGL? On nVidia cards there's a driver-related 'black window' bug that could be related to this.

You should use Acceleration Manager to disable AIGLX / XGL and then retry, just for testing purposes.

Cheers,

Hmm...I don't have that problem, I'm using ATI card. And its weird, but today I restarted my system (it had been going continuously since like 3 days. When I logged back in, everything was frozen and stuff, so I hard-reset it and when it booted back up, all my videos were playing fine...

Wonder why that happened?
