Enabling JSON in PHP

Postby TonyT » Sun Jun 17, 2007 23:55

Hi

I'm new to Sabayon and have so far enjoyed the experience. I'm stuck though.

I have PHP 5.2.1-r3 installed and JSON appears to be disabled. I thought that JSON was enabled in PHP 5.2.0 +. Anyway, I tried to enable it by running

USE="json" emerge php

but that didn't work.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I imagine that it's not difficult, it's just that I don't know how to go about doing it. I have looked around on various forums, but haven't found a solution.

Thanks very much

Tony

Might have to use caps or JSON instead of json not sure.

Can also be that you have to load a module ? or something like this. No idea here.

Check this search links for maybe a how to or something that might get it working for you. I found several fixes this way for other bugs but have to end up reading lots of info to get a fix.

OR

If you find the fix see if you can add it to the sabayon wiki here.
