how do i burn an mp3 cd? [Solved]

Postby dkarlmt » Thu Jun 14, 2007 0:10

I tried burning an mp3 cd, but when I tried the different apps SL has to offer, it only gives me the choice of burning a music cd.

I am trying to burn more than the standard 20 or so songs in mp3 format on a regular cd that I can play in my car (it is a pioneer capable of reading mp3, wmv, and so forth)

Any ideas?

Also, since I tried with GnomeBaker, now when every time I boot SL, GnomeBaker automatically runs on startup and I cannot figure out how to disable this.

An mp3-CD is just a data CD with MP3s on it, or am I mistaken? Anyway, I would suggest to use k3b, IMHO the best CD/DVD-burning program, start a Data-CD project and just put all the Mp3s you want on it...

This is exactly right! There is no specific 'burn an MP3 CD' function you just burn it as data. Any device that can play MP3s will recognise the disk.
