Steam vs Flash [Solved]

Postby B3rtm3n » Tue Dec 25, 2012 12:21

Did anyone managed to get flash vids working in Steam Linux version?

It is the only thing not working so far.

Thx for any help in this matter.

You need USE="32bit" on the flash package.

I have Intel but can I use the command for 32 bit plugins for amd users?

I have 64bit os running

steam works fine without being able to view the flash videos...you could always just open the steam site in your browser and view them there? maybe not ideal but it'll save you some tinkering.

No thanks, it is like having a car but taking the bike instead because one of the tires is flat and I do not want to repair it.

I found this link solving the issue in Ubuntu:
http://www.dedoimedo.com/games/steam-linux-flash.html

However you manually have to update the files once a while ..

I wait till Steam comes with flash delivered or something like that
