It's a Flash's bug. The problem occurs on the Flash 11.2 with libvdpau, but the bug is not in libvdpau. There are some reports in Adobe Bugzilla, but Adobe didn't anything to solve.

Workarounds:

1. Open the console:

Code: Select all
su

Code: Select all
nano /etc/adobe/mms.cfg

Add this line:
Code: Select all
EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1

Problems with this workaround: Flash sometimes crashes. Problems with leaking overlays.

2. Go to the YouTube video, click with the right button on the video, Advanced Settings and uncheck "Enable Hardware Acceleration". Restart the browser:
Problems: low performance, specially on full screen.

3. Enable HTML5. Go to
http://www.youtube.com/html5
Problems: HTML5 doesn't work with playlists and videos with announcements.

4. Use Flash 10.3
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplay ... tion3.html
Problems: it's not oficially supported by Sabayon. Maybe it won't work.

libvdpau 0.5 contains a fix for this. But this version is not in Sabayon yet (but it's coming soon).

Or you can just go for the easy solution (use firefox for this, but it works afterwards for Chromium too)

Go with your mouse pointer to the video and click ON the video with right mouse button, go to settings en disable hardware acceleration, restart your browser and it should work.

Else go for the option mentionned above.

Btw. changing /etc/adobe/mms.cfg made my vids in chromium crash often. Disabling hardware accelaration in Firefox did not. No problems with low performance on big screen here.

Thank everybody! The 'easy solution' is the best option. And it's worked great. I know from experience, Flash driver are a great tool to break a Linux installation.
