PlayonLinux [Solved]

Can someone explain how to install PlayOnLinux_4.1.8.tar.gz which I downloaded from their website on Sabayon?

The package Sabayon is offering (4.1.1) is to old and refuses to install some stuff because of that as the latest version is 4.1.8.

If it is a source tarball, extract it with

Code: Select all

tar -xz PlayOnLinux_4.1.8.tar.gz

Then go to the directory created and run:

Code: Select all

./configure
make

Then it will compile.

I never worked with Linux like that because I always go for the easy stuff although I use Linux for some years.

So I started searching who to use tarball and such stuff, found this link for a noob user like me
