KDE4 - Clock always two hours in advance.

Hello,

by now I think this is a general KDE-Bug: Even though I put in the right time zone (Berlin) during the installation. The time always switches to two hours in advance. If it's 12:00 it Shows 14:00. This is VERY anoying and I have no Idea how such a BAD BUG can still be in KDE - almost 5...

Could anyone here help me to fix the problem? That would be really nice!

uhm ... you can try set /etc/conf.d/hwclock config file

I suppose that CLOCK variable is set to "UTC".

set

CLOCK="local"

reboot.

Ich hatte dasselbe Problem bei verschiedenenen Installationen.
Meiner Meinung nach sollte (muss?) die Hardwareuhr (immer) UTC sein und beim installieren wird "Berlin" angegeben.
Die Hardwareuhr kannst du mit F2 beim Booten verändern. Die Zeit (Berlin) kannst Du falls nicht beim Installieren geschehen immer noch in der Console auf UTC+2 setzen.
Davon abgesehen, gibt es (in KDE jedenfalls) eine Einstellung, dass die Zeit aus dem Internet aktualisiert wird und beim Runterfahren auch in die Hardwareuhr zurückgeschrieben wird...

desputin, have you applied the procedure given in the SL Wiki article HOWTO: Clock, Time, UTC, Dual boot with Windows (ignore the mention of dual booting and Windows, the article applies irrespective of whether or not you dual boot)? If you have not tried it yet, follow it precisely and it should hopefully resolve the problem.
