package for Google's Go Language?

Postby gstrock » Tue Jun 26, 2012 22:12

is there a package for Google's Go language.
I've tried searching a million different ways
but come up empty handed.

It could also be masquerading as gcc-go,
but can't find that either.

dev-lang/go ?

Doesn't look like it's available in entropy. You can file a bug request to have it added, although there might be reasons why it isn't there yet, I don't really know.

You can also just compile and install it via portage: http://packages.sabayon.org/show/go,210 ... 0,standard

Code: Select all
#emerge --sync && emerge dev-lang/go

Thanks Stupot. I'm afraid of mixing emerge & entropy. I discovered it's pretty easy to just download the tar file from the go site http://code.google.com/p/go/downloads/list and install it that way. Now its up to me to keep it up to date. 8)
