problem with LSB libs, typo probably...Help!

Postby sedo_5 » Sat May 26, 2012 23:08

Hi everyone!

I have a little doubt for the developers!
Recently I've been struggling with an unworking lib in Sabayon: apparently I've solved the problem as it probably was caused by a typo in a filename.
Please read this forum (only from #190 entry, my nickname is the same as here)
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx/25236-ansys-workbench-uncertified-linux-distros-10.html#post363262

As far as I understood, installing the LSB package should bring the "ld-linux-x86-64.so.2" lib under /lib64 and /lib .
Since I had a problem with a particular software that needed LSB installed, I asked in that forum and they pointed out that I probably had a misnamed file: i.e. I had "d-linux-x86-64.so.2" instead of the correct "ld-linux-x86-64.so.2" ...making a symlink solved the issue.
Can a developer please confirm this problem and this workaround and, possibly, solve this?

Thanks
Renzo
