Multisystem almost installed

Postby mitcoes » Sat Mar 03, 2012 17:15

If you want to install Multisystem dowload this sources http://liveusb.info/multisystem/multisystem.tar.bz2

Extract at /tmp/multisystem/multisystem

From the file /tmp/multisystem/multisystem/dependances.txt you must unmark with a # before them #kvm #genisoimage # fatresize and # xxd.

The other missing dependences listed when you execute the install.sh can be installed with emerge or Sulfur.

You must use the program loged as root.

As nobody is working it to make a Sabayon and or gentoo package any other trick is welcome

MDOERATOR EDIT: fixed Subject ("Multusystem" to "Multisystem")

unetbootin is not a multiISO pendrive maker, there are a multiiso linux universal method, but not as graphical or easy to work with as Multisystem or YUMI at MS WOS it can be found at http://www.pendrivelinux.com/boot-multi ... ing-linux/ but this universal method has no frontend that should be other option, making an alternative frontend to Multisystem.

I got installed on my sabayon.
It is fully running the only thing I was not able to do from sabayon is fatresize.
I just copy it from an ubuntu to make multisystem running.
I wrote some notes here ( in french) : http://systemx.nosuke.org/index.php/pos ... ur-sabayon
If any body knows how to compile fatresize on gentoo/sabayon ...

multisystem is pretty handy but code isnt that clean and is very ubuntu oriented for install.
