Android SDK

I installed eclipse from source.
I copied it to the /usr/share directory.
Installed everything correct and it works right out of the box.
I also installed the android sdk update manager package.
after installing the android plugin for eclipse I downloaded the sdk withing eclipse.
I installed all required packages and everything.
If I start a avd it doesn't show up.
In the Process List the Server and the AVD is displayed, but it never started.
What am I doing wrong?
