Tellico - Import Audio File Metadata not available [Solved]

Postby lourens » Mon Jan 30, 2012 7:14

Hi,

I'm using Tellico 2.3.4 on KDE 4.7.4 and am unable to do File - Import - Import Audio File Metadata as this option is not active. A Web search has not found anything usefull, any suggestions please?

Thanks.

:)

Hi,

I'm not sure if / how Tellico uses Nepomuk ?
Trawling around I've found that should Nepomuk is not running and a "$ nepomukservicestub nepomukstrigiservice" results in :
"/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(12126)" Soprano: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstorage was not provided by any .service files" ??

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you very much.

I should now gingerly and cautiously use emerge to resolve this USE flag problem ?

Hi,

Thanks sabayonino and all who wrote the HOWTO's I consulted.

From a "little hen" so use with caution.
added :
kde-misc/tellico taglib
to
/etc/portage/package.use
equo install eix # required below
emerge --sync # I think that this was sync was repeated with eix-update ?
layman -d sabayon
layman -S
layman -l # to check that Sabayon overlay present
layman -a sabayon
eix-update
emerge -av =tellico-2.3.4 # 2.3.5 is available, played safe. Only cmake and trellico pulled in so "Yes"

A quick test and Tellico is working as advertised.

:D
