how doi completely remove NX user

Postby ndavey1 » Fri Jan 04, 2008 23:47

Hi,

I am having real problems installing nxserver. I have installed nxnode successfully and run the setup script for nxserver but this is what it says:-

nathan@localhost /usr $ sudo /usr/NX/scripts/setup/nxserver --install debian
NX> 704 ERROR: Cannot add user: nx.
NX> 704 ERROR: User: nx already exists.
NX> 704 To fix the problem, you may try to completely uninstall NX
NX> 704 Server and install it from scratch. If this is not enough,
NX> 704 please delete the nx user by using the system commands and
NX> 704 proceed with a new installation of NX Server.

I have tried to remove it completely and unemerged nx and nxclient, then downloaded and unpacked the tars. I run the nxnode script and all is ok. When I run the nxserver script same message.

Please help. I need remote access!!!!

Thanks,

Nathan.
