No sound in Video editor (Blender)

Postby Ric » Sat Dec 29, 2007 5:39

I've been using Blender to make a music video, but I have a big problem. I can't hear it while editing. The audio shows up in the interlaced .avi just fine, but I still can't hear it while editing.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? How might I fix it? Can I re-compile an audio component, or is there a link that is incomplete???
Act weird. It supports freedom.
It gives others permission to act weird too.

Could be kmix related and killing it / restarting kmix could help or as root in terminal use "alsaconf" to reconfigure the sound , maybe somethign went bump in the night.
Check kmix settings as possibly blender wants to do suround sound or something weard and kmix is not configed to this ??

Alternatively try cinelerra or kino and see if it works in there might be audio codec that is missing ?

Cinelerra website.
