dbhub, dchub, opendchub don't run

Postby nagpa » Wed Dec 19, 2007 14:31

Problem is simple - these applications just don't run.
I done emerge --sync, emerge portage, and all such things before emerging them.
But no one runs. Even in root.
Linuxdcpp works, but I want to try others.
This is what was written in portato console after emerging dbhub :

When I click on program icon in usr/bin , nothing happens.
It just don't run. Even in root account.
Maybe could anybody emerge dbhub (or other of these three programs), and tell if it works or not.
If it would work for anybody, i would know, that problem is in my system. :|

always always always run the program from konsole if the icon doesn't start, than you can see any error messages. Troubleshoot the problem, clicking on icon and complaining it didn't start is not troubleshooting. Command Line can tell you way more than an icon can.

OK.
In console I got these:

localhost ~ # dbhub
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
DB Hub 0.450 is up and running. Listening for user connections on port 4111
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
localhost ~ #

localhost ~ # dchub
DChub v0.5.2
The configuration filename you gave (/var/db/dchub/conf.xml) does not exist,
you must use --init or --missing to create it.
localhost ~ #

localhost ~ # opendchub
Enter port number to listen for connections.
Ports below 1024 is only for root: 13513
Listening Port set to 13513
Please, supply an admin pass for hub: passwordone
Your admin pass is set to passwordone
Please, supply a password for hub linking: passwordone
Your Hub linking pass is set to passwordone
Hub is up and running. Listening for user connections on port 13513
and listening for admin connections on port 53696
localhost ~ #

Maybe there is any command to launch program interface? These shouldn't be console programs (it wasn't written so in portato  )
