Hi All,
I've been searching for quite some time now, but can't seem to find a solution. I may try and post this at the gentoo forums as well to see if I get a response.
I'm trying to set up a pdf-server to coexist with a Windows network. I 'm thinking of using cups-pdf and setting the output path to a dynamic directory based on the Windows logon. My logic is that I can set up cups-pdf to mount an NTFS share on our fileserver (which would be subject to routine backups) and also pass security measures already in place to folders on the Windows machine.
Basically, if the CEO prints to the pdf driver, I want it to go to a secure folder that only he/she has access to. Same goes for every user.
I can set all this up, but I can't figure out how to pass the Windows logon to CUPS (or the OS for that matter).
Thanks!
