Progress bar doesn't work when deleting files.

I'm not sure if this is a Kde, compiz, or sabayon bug but here's the problem. When I delete files or empty my trash bin the progress dialog window comes up but the progress bar doesn't work. As far as I can tell the progress dialog and bar work in other file operations such as move or copy. Is anyone else having this problem?
I'm using sabayon 3.4
