Ripping Streaming audio

Postby guzzi » Mon Oct 29, 2007 3:51

4 or 5 years ago I last installed Linux, one of the main things I liked was the freedom to do the simple stuff that you should be able to do in windows but couldn't.

One of those was stream ripping especially rtsp/rm/ram files sitting on servers. I don't mean stream dumping in realtime, but ripping them off the server similar to ftping a file. Now I can't remember exactly how I did it. Anybody here got any ideas?

I am almost sure it involved wget, curl, sox but I can't find any links about how to do it and can't remember how I had done it.
