VirtualBox 1.4.0 no more starts after Update to 3.4e

In 3.4a VirtualBox works very well, after a update to 3.4e I can start VirtualBox, but when I start a machine, the message "starting OS" appears but hang on 0%. Only kill the application helps to end it.

Maybe important: I started VirtualBox without mounting the drive where the machine and the vdi-files are stored. Got a message, that the registered machines and vdi's could not found. I mounted the drive and the problem came first time after that situation. Maybe it comes from this and not from the update?

Any idea? Please help...

thanls for your reply. Yes, I completely de-installed VB, than re-installed ist. I also tried "depmod" to see if there is anything wrong, and I putted the "nmi=Watchdog..." - phrase in the grub.conf.

I also tried reconfigure, unfortunately everything without success. Now I completely re-installed SL, and now it works since now...

I'm really not sure if the error comes from the update or from the fogotten mounting of my partitions. But I don want to try it out again...

Wolfden, sorry for that maybe "silly" question, but can you tell me how to have my Windows-partitions automatically mounted? I not so deep in Linux as it maybe seems from my statements before. All my experience comes from different forums and own try-out, but I'm willing in learning more. I'm coming from a Windows background, now a big fan of Linux, and find SL is really the best Linux-Distro for my purposes. But also not the easiest way to come forward...
