Sabayon 3.3b unable to boot in VirtualBox 1.4.0

Problem: SabayonLinux-x86-3.3b.miniEdition is unable to boot in VirtualBox 1.4.0.
Reason: Sabayon is unable to find the bootable medium. It couldn't find the CD to boot.

Other users has also experienced the same problem. The issue has been posted in the Sabayon forums and also in the VirtualBox forums. Unfortunately, no solution has been found yet.

I downloaded a SabayonLinux-x86-3.3b.miniEdition.iso and loaded it to my VirtualBox 1.4.0 hosted by a Windows XP SP1 system.

Worth a shot, does removing 'dodmraid' from the boot kernel params solve this? I know sabayon livedvd can't recognize my 'real' ICH9 controller with that option on (although it can recognize the jbmicron controller - I'm lucky I had two different sata controllers on one motherboard lol).
