vbox - can't flexible change screen size

I want to have flexible change screen size by doing windows smaller/bigger (changing windows size and screen size is changing too). As I remember to have this, I must install guest addition (what i do: media/cdrom/VBoxLinuxAdditions-x86.run) and choose option machine->automatic scaling guest's screen (I don't know is it good translation machine->3th option from top) and its work, but not this time... I can't choose automatic scaling, because it inactive (gray). Is something what I forgotten?

Which version of Sabayon?
Which version of VirtualBox
Which package manager are you using?

guest and host system is sabayon (5.3). Version of VBox- 3.2.8. I use equo.

You could try:

 equo install app-emulation/virtualbox-guest-additions-3.2.8#KERNEL_VERSION-sabayon

inside the guest machine, changing KERNEL_VERSION for the number that appears when you run
