1.5mb .rar empty ext3 virtualbox hd image at the above link to save time during the install process.
First always scan for viruses then extract onto your hd that has more than 20gb free and point virtualbox to exsisting hd image / where this one is.
During SL install the minm. 20+ mins it would have taken or felt like hanging install will now be down to about 1 min if using this. Format / partition / autopartition this during SL install. ( /boot 128mb , 1024mb swap , rest to /root partition )
This should work in both windows / most linux versions + virtualbox.
Might even be able to use the vmware hd converter for use in vmware not sure.

Darn should have made a few new install's with default password vmware / virtualbox images and uploaded them as well
