VMware 1.0.4 on Sabayon Business - vmware-config.pl halts

Postby serenicom » Mon Oct 01, 2007 2:19

I have installed VMWare as per the FAQ on the Wiki onto a laptop running Sabayon Business 1.0. The install seems to work (I am a newbie with Sabayon) but when I try to run the vmware-config.pl script, it gets to the bottom of the license and I cannot type "y" or "n" to continue. using pretty much any key scrolls the EULA backwards instead of progressing to the next step.

I get a message:
* WARNING: vmware has not yet been started.
when I start the script, but trying to start vmware just tells me to run the script. I have added myself to vmusers, etc.

I have had no problem doing this on PCLinuxOS, but nothing on Sabayon. I an hoping it has something to do with the terminal I am using.

I have what seems to be a perfect install of Sabayon exept for the ability to run a VM, any help would be appreciated.

Indeed.

Pressing "q" drops back to the emerge interaction where you are then prompted:

Do you agree? [yes/no]:

to which you should answer accordingly.
