REISER4 support for root and boot filesystem

because he abruptly discontinued reiser3fs support and bug fixing.

naaah, why use an old - "buggy" filesystem, if you have completely re-developed it from scratch and can have a better one

by the way it is not possblie for servers and production system to reformat large drives and reinstall the system .

if u cannt provide new features ..... at least u shld provide support for bug fixing and .....
and more over if u cannt provide support ......release the new version such that it is backward compatible.

becos data is much more costlier than efficieny ......... and i had already lost my 10G valuable data , due to bugs in reiser3.

and most of the data recovery software didnt work on ext3 and resierfs efficiently, although they work on ext2.

This strategy is good for gaming systems and may work for desktop in some cases , but surely will not work for production systems.

and as from many statement by linus u can find out that linux kernel is more biased towards servers rather dan desktops.

hey!

it's all about choice in the oss-world, so why shouldn't there be a permission for reiser4 to exist (in the kernel) - even if only for the desktop-market ?

given - if it's not save enough for critical usage - use another filesystem - it's YOUR choice

after all that testing it then might be ready for enterprise - isn't it the same with ext4 ? (which lead to loads of data corruption already )
