hi im fairly new to linux well ish ive installed a few distros but never a gentoo as its just too time consuming so this looks interesting
2 questions thou
1 is there a video encoder available to convert my camcorder dv files to dvd mpeg and an app to create the dvd
2 are there any childrens edu games available as i have a 5 and a 3 year old

kdegames and kdeedu is installed. KDE in 2.65.1 is 3.4.3 version.
Please tell me which application you need and I'll tell you if it's in RR4 2.65.1

avidemux is probably the easiest encoder i use i would also be installing mainactor to capture my dv cam video

Maybe it's too late for me to post my message here... But nevertheless, I just want to say "Thanks" to lxnay, because he had done a really great work! I've been searching a suitable LiveCD/DVD Linux distribution for a few years, until I got known about RR4... And now I can say - it's not just "good" - it's GOOD.
