Logoff bug

So, everytime I try to logout of my Sabayon 11 session (on every WM) I get:





Does anyone got a fix for this? I'm on 3.7.4 kernel

Apologies for going off topic for a moment, but that message has got to be a GNOME 3 message, am I right? It reads just like something straight out of Redmond. "Contact a system administrator". Yeh, right. Yech!

yes, its from the gnome version... but happens with all the WM i get, gnome 3, mate, xbmc... every logoff gives me that, i think its related to gdm, but im not sure which logs to look for so can anyone give me a tip?

As wolfden wrote, the first thing you should check are the log files. Have a look in /var/log/messages, ~/.xsession-errors and /var/log/Xorg.*.log to see if there are any error messages. It would also be worth trying:

Ok, so from /var/log/messages, i get like 1000+ lines with the following message on the logoff event:

The following returned nothing (0 issues):

have you messed with icons or themes on your install?

no sir! everything default... i only installed MATE but the issue was happening before installing it as well
