Nautilus Opens at Login in Xfce4 ?????[Solved]

Postby sqlpython » Wed Nov 07, 2012 20:17

Ok Open the Brain Trust!
...HELP!
I can't seem to put my finger on the source of this problem.
I Made a New Sabayon X install on another partition.
The install was Gnome 3 iso. I didn't like it so I also installed the Xfce4 desktop meta and associated extras. Xfce4 is Great!

When I log in to the Xfce4 Desktop Nautilus Filemanager automatically launches at the Home Dir.
If I login to Gnome 3 Nautilus does not Launch....
And I don't want Nautilus Filemanager to Auto Launch At all anywhere.

So I checked and see that the Xfce4 Menu does not contain a Nautilus entry.. I further Checked /usr/share/applications for a Menu Item as these Items can be set to Auto launch...And there is not a Nautilius Nor an Item of Any Name that Launches Nautilus..

Next checked /home/sqlpython/.config/autostart ...and no Filemanager.
Next check /home/sqlpython/.config/nautilus ...No Auto launch
Next Checked /home/sqlpython/.config/xfce4 ..No Auto Launch
Next /etc/xdg/autostart and modified a line in Files from
......Exec=nautilus -n to #Exec=nautilus -n
...... Logged out/ Logged in No effect Nautilus again Launched.
Next Checked /etc/xdg/xfce4 Can't find an Associated Launch file.
Also I see nothing in
/home/sqlpython/.bashrc nor /etc/bash/bashrc

Call me Stumped ????
I am obviously missing something but what ?

Well this solution didn't teach me the source of the Problem but did solve the annoyance.

In Xfce I uninstalled Nautilus.
...Logged out
...Logged In and Reinstalled Nautilus should I ever again enter Gnome 3 and want it's Default FileManager.
...Logged Out and In
So, Now Nautilus does not auto launch.... Go figure?
