Perl-Tk problem in Sabayon 10

Postby abadonna » Tue Oct 16, 2012 1:25

Hi,

There is a strange problem with Perl-Tk in the latest Sabayon 10 edition. I use clusterssh on regular everyday basis. It worked like a charm in Sabayon 9, but stopped in version 10.
Every time I try to run cssh I get:
Code: Select all
$ cssh
30f17d0 is not a hash at /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.12.4/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/Tk/MainWindow.pm line 53.
Aborted

I have tried to dig in Google and I have discovered that this is a glitch with Perl-Tk. Just try to run "$ wish". In my case it generates an error:
Code: Select all
$ wish
Application initialization failed: unknown color name "BACKGROUND"

Something has been broken in latest Sabayon edition. I hope you can help me to fix this strange problem. I really need to use cssh...

I have found a workaround, but I think it should be fixed.

To workaround the problem, create ~/.Xresources with content:
*.background: gray75

Then call
$ xrdb -load ~/.Xresources

Clusterssh starts to work immediately.
