Cannot see/change gnome shell themes

Hi

I cannot change or see installed gnome shell themes with the tweak tool. I could before before the upgrade to 3.4. I get the orange triangle and 'shell user-themes incorrectly installed'. I removed all themes from ./user/share/gnome-themes but the problem persists.

I googled for solutions but none worked. I am a bit stuck. Any ideas.
