I have had the same issue.

What I've done to fix it was to reinstall gst-plugins-pulse, pulseaudio, alsa-lib, alsa-plugins, gst-plugins-alsa and alsa-utils.

After, I restarted my PC, then noticed all the missing icons in the taskbar appeared. I went in Phonon, since I had to reconfigure my sound card settings. Restarted PC, and it was fixed. If it didn't load automatically, launching it via the console fixed it and then it loaded automatically afterwards.

Awkward but it fixed that issue on my side.
