He I got the problem whenever I use FireFox or Konqueror to show webpages that contain more than 4 pics, it's extremly slow at scrolling and showing the content.
My Rig
AMD Athlon 3200+ 64bit
2GB RAM
Geforce 6800
160 GB Samsung HDD
Sabayon Linux 3.1 32bit
FireFox 2 (binary package from getfirefox.org)
Hope that anyone can help

we don't support anything that's not in gentoo portage nor our overlay.
So, my suggestion is to try to compile firefox 2.0 using portage.
