Problem with SL 3.1 and refresh rate

I'm using a nice older CAD monitor (24 inch wide-screen, Sony GDM-W900) with a resolution of 1920x1200 and a refresh rate of 66 Hz.

I really like SL 3.0 because it is one of very few Linux distributions which allows you to freely choose these parameters.

Yesterday I've tested the new SL 3.1 in live mode and although I used the same boot parameters "res=1920x1200" and "refresh=66" the refresh rate was automatically changed to 50 Hz and no option to increase the refresh rate afterwards (maybe an option is to manually change the xorg.conf).

Does anybody have an idea how to solve the problem?

Hi - the issue is discussed in this thread. Do both of you use NVIDIA video cards?

Hi - yes I'm using a NVidia GeForce 6600.

Are there specific issues related to NVidia cards?
