Cannot install vmware

Postby shoarthing » Sun Oct 08, 2006 8:24

Hi - sure there's an obvious answer to this; but six hours of trawling the Gentoo forums/wiki & Vmware forums haven't found it:

. . the hassle is simply that the: #vmware-config.pl perl script goes no further than allowing one to scroll to the end of the EULA. That's it. Have run it with [I think] all published options.

Sabayon 3.05 w/ 2.6.18 kernel, recompiled after installing vmware modules. Selected default options to load/unload modules. Have 2.6.17 headers [if that is relevant - 2.6.18 not yet available]; 5.5.2.29772 ebuild vmware-workstation; vmware-modules 1.0.0.15

. . have re-emerged all components several times, checked modules, & etc & etc.

Would much appreciate pointers to how I'm screwing this.

yes, when you scroll to the end of the EULA, just hit "q" for quit and it will ask if you accept of now... :P
