USB Flash drive mount prob

Postby compasspnt » Fri Oct 06, 2006 0:11

This probably too easy for you CLI geniuses, but...

One of my usb flash drives, that USED to be recognised perfectly in the older mini edition of SL, now will not be recognised, after installation of full DVD version, and upgrading kernel to .18

OTHER flash drives are mounting fine, but this one is not.

How can I command it to appear?

Thanks.

first you need to figure out what its being recognized as, something like /dev/sd**, once you figure that out, you can mount it basically anywhere

# mount /dev/sdd /mnt/gentoo

or something like that, then you can rw to /mnt/gentoo for the flashdrive
